As an organization-Freedom First International honors-A Fallen National Hero. We honor and salute all the men and women who have served our country, while at the same time building awareness of the life of Sgt. La David Johnson and his awesome commitment. We hope and pray God’s mercy to the needs of those who have fallen in service to our community. Ladavid was employed at Wal-Mart in the produce department. He would remove the front wheel of his bike and ride to and from work earning him the title of “Wheelie King”. He remained at Wal-Mart until he made the decision to further his career with the United States Military. He enlisted into the United States Army January 28, 2014 where his leadership abilities continued to shine as he excelled in his career.
Sgt Ladavid Johnson awards include: Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Medal, Non commissioned Officers Professional Development Ribbon, Parachutist Badge, Basic, Air Assault Badge, Combat and Specific Skills Badge Basic Marksmanship Qualification Badge, Driver and Mechanics Badge. Sgt Johnson left for his second deployment to Africa on August 28th, 2017. It would be here that God opened the windows of heaven and sent forth his angels to call his child home. His charismatic personality will always be remembered.
While we won’t give attention to the current US President Donald Trump and his allegations of insensitivity to the commitment of this young man. We will say that our community is well aware of issues the surround those who continually act outside of our interest.
David left to cherish his life and legacy; wife: Myeshia Johnson; children: Ah’leeysa Jones, Ladavid Johnson Jr., and La’Shee Johnson; parents: Samara Johnson (Preceded him in death), Richard and Cowanda Johnson, Terrence (Teoka) McGriff; grandparents and a host of other family and friends
