For example, one year to date- Trump thanked supporters “for all the nice compliments and reviews” of his address and said 45.6 million people had watched.
In reality, the audience was smaller than the 48 million who watched Trump’s address to a joint session of Congress last year and smaller than several speeches delivered by recent predecessors. Barack Obama’s joint session speech in 2009 drew 52 million viewers; George W. Bush’s State of the Union address in 2003 drew 62 million viewers, and Bill Clinton’s joint session speech in 1993 drew 67 million viewers.
A White House official, who was not authorized to speak for the president and spoke on the condition of anonymity, said that Trump intended to say that the cable ratings for his speech were the highest ever. In addition to the broadcast networks, the speech was carried on several cable networks, including Fox News, MSNBC and CNN, as well as the Spanish-language channels Univision and Telemundo.
Mr. Trump’s approval rating has a net negative among the nation’s voters, and more say things in the country is on the wrong track than that they are going in the right direction.
We highlight Mr. Trumps struggle and lack of clarity with growing racist incidents around the country
More recently, his political rise was built on promulgating the lie that the nation’s first black president was born in Kenya. He then launched his campaign with a speech describing Mexicans as rapists.
The media often falls back on euphemisms when describing Trump’s comments about race: racially loaded, racially charged, racially tinged, racially sensitive. And Trump himself has claimed that he is “the least racist person.” But here’s the truth: Donald Trump is a racist. He talks about and treats people differently based on their race. We at Freedom First International stand with a growing number of Dissatisfied Americans who believe He has done so for years, and he is still doing so.
Lastly, Our organization with other groups is now planning a major protest in Downtown Chicago to offset and also in opposition to the state of the Union.
The time will be Tuesday 1 East Jackson Blvd Chicago, IL at 4:30p. Two years ago our group along with others put just over 16,000 folks in Downtown Chicago to Protest the Trump election.
We are firmly convinced that we are on the right side of history and Mr.Trump’s dangerous racist agenda must be stopped.
