A well known fact that-The Arab owned shop at The CTA (Blue Line) Forest Park has been ripping poor folks off for years-by overcharging 25% to 40% Tax on items and more.
This is disturbing especially when cook County Tax is just over 10%. Chicago Activist will protest this Friday at 4:00pm to bring notice to this store and it’s dishonest practices. Watch these stores-they sell old food and overcharge at the same time.
Bishop Gregg L.Greer President of Freedom First International stated-“In many states, businesses are allowed a small discrepancy in overcharges. State law in North Carolina allows businesses to have a 2 percent error rate among all the items in the store. This year, five stores have been penalized so far. Last November, nine stores, including Dollar General, CVS, Target and Walgreens were fined in the state for price scanning errors. C.T.A has to do a better job in monitoring these small stores. There should be no way that-this should be a problem from a vendor that does business with the city.
Video One shows recent incident (last week) when one store employee when confronted about over charging one employee runs from camera view, the other when asked for a manger said, no manager was available and gave a contact, after some persistence.
Video Two shows locals who are aware of the store deceptive practices and discuss his experiences and also that fact that he’s aware of the stores overcharging for at least two years.
