We are pleased to announce the promotion of Monica James to the position of Executive Vice President of Operations as Chief Operating Officer (COO).  Monica will be responsible for Civic Engagement and growing Networks nationally.  Monica has worked with Freedom First International in the recent years past and has served in roles most recently overseeing a growing social justice network in over 60 regions globally. 

This promotion recognizes the contributions Monica James has made to promoting Social Justice worldwide and her tenure with the organization and is effective on July 28, 2020.

MUNCIE IN, on Friday September 20, 2019 at 6:00 pm Eve EST. National Community activist and Green Party leadership will meet for their Midwest USGP Black Caucus Presidential Candidate 2020 Debate at Ball State University. In addition to the debate a strong emphasis at the forum will be to speaker presentations to highlight community concerns over issues that effect the African American and communities of color.
 
Speakers for this years lineup will be: National Activist Journalist Bishop Gregg L.Greer. Bishop Greer has lead and fight for some of the major civil rights cases in America including Tamir Rice, George Stinney Jr. (Manning South Carolina) and Multiple Chicago Community Violence and Police Brutality Issues. Bishop Greer is an journalist who has contributed to the Huffington Post, Daily Kos, Black American World News and others. (see Bio attachment-Below)
 

Also speaking will be the Son and Wife of the Late Black Panther Leader Fed Hampton are Chairman Fred Hampton Jr. and Akua Njeru (Fred Hampton’s Wife).  Fred Hampton Jr. (born December 29, 1969) is an African-American political activist and the son of Fred Hampton Sr. His father was a Black Panther who was killed by the Chicago police. Hampton’s 19-year-old mother, Deborah Johnson, was nine months pregnant with him when Hampton Sr. was killed in her presence during the police raid of the early morning hours of December 4, 1969. Hampton Sr. was 21 at the time of his death. (See Bio attachment-Below) 

Also, speaking will be Shamanique Hall Guider a well noted Indian community activists from Black Lives Matter who works with college students, concerned clergy and more to raise awareness and stand in solidarity with the movement for black lives across the country

“Our goal is to Liberate our people and to give them access to information that they may not routinely have and also help people in communities understand that we need ongoing effort to help to draw attention to the issues of people of color including African American, Latino and others –The Green Party Presidential Candidates of the 2020 campaign are all paying attention to the the current issues in America who we can change the current narrative.  That’s why this event is being hosted and promoted by the Green Party.,” according to Monica James-The main organizer of this forum.
